Urgent safety warning after five deaths and 10 serious collisions in tragic two weeks

A Devon and Cornwall road safety partnership has issued an urgent message to drivers after a spike in fatal collisions on our roads. In the past 14 days there have been 10 serious collisions across the two counties, including five which ended in fatalities.

Devon and Cornwall Police, South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT), Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service and the Devon Air Ambulance – all of whom are members of the Vision Zero South West road safety partnership - played vital roles in attending these incidents.

Vision Zero is a shared commitment between a number of organisations across Devon and Cornwall. The one thing they all share is a commitment to cut the number of deaths and serious injuries in the region to zero.
